![]() When I went back online, the files were uploaded and when I launched it on my PC, the save had been synced (slot 3 was not empty). Here's how I tested it: I went offline and updated the save file (created slot 3), quit the game, and the deck showed that the save files were out of date as expected. I just hit "A" to continue past the message and everything worked great. ![]() Has anyone else tried that and can confirm it works or had problems with it?ĮDIT 2: I tried the symlink and it seems to work exactly how I want with the very minor caveat that the game warns when offline that the cloud cannot be accessed and the save may be out of date. What do others do when travelling and going offline and wanting to play DC?ĮDIT: I just found this comment from 11 months ago on r/SteamDeck saying a symlink does work: Can I make the local save location a symlink of the cloud location or something? if I go offline, I still use the same save file that I was using with cloud sync, and when I go back online, it gets uploaded to overwrite the older version in the cloud. ![]() Is there some way to avoid this behavior and make DC work like any normal game with cloud sync functionality? I.e. It decides which one to use based on whether cloud sync is enabled (entering "Offline Mode" is also considered as "cloud sync disabled" for this purpose). Per, it seems Dead Cells on Steam has two different places where it saves files: one in the cloud, and one locally.
